Freedom Acres is a 501c3 wild mustang sanctuary providing a safe place for currently 18 mustangs rescued from holding pens after being rounded up and losing their freedom and families. The goal of the sanctuary is to provide a forever and natural home for these wild horses by giving hours of hard work and a large amount of love. The horses are allowed to live in peace and are left to continue being wild or be given love and affection if they so desire it.

Funds raised will go to providing food, water and shelter to the herd this winter and into spring. The shortage of hay caused by drought conditions and a higher demand has made it harder to procure enough for the horses. Winter makes the need for the costly hay more intense. A continuous supply of water needs to be purchased and shelters need to be built to protect the horses from the winter storms.
